Visit Lauderdale made the water its own.
Never Lose Your Splash · positioning, campaign film, outdoor and brand photography.

Never Lose Your Splash was a broader repositioning: the canals, boats and life on the water, expressed through a campaign film, a new brand library and a Times Square launch.

The sameness
Never Lose Your Splash started by looking at the whole category.
Fort Lauderdale sat in a category where every competitor ran the same postcard: sand, palms, a couple at sunset. A sea of sameness, provable frame by frame.
The proof hung on a wall: hundreds of tourism campaigns from Miami, Tampa and Aruba, mapped with AI into composite grids until the patterns were impossible to unsee. Same ocean-blue hex codes, same drone shots, same tagline rhythm. Not a wall of creativity. Wallpaper.

The water
Everyone sold the beach. The water underneath was unclaimed.
Strip the category back and the thing that gives Lauderdale its pulse isn’t the sand. It’s the water underneath it all. The canals, the boats, the movement.
Everyone sells the view. Lauderdale owns the experience: the sound, the reflection, the energy. “Make Waves, Not Ripples” became the rallying cry that pulled the brand out of the aquarium: don’t just sell a destination, embody one. Bold, colorful, willing to splash instead of shimmer.
“Never Lose Your Splash” built the brand promise on that relationship with the water.

The launch
Launched in Times Square on New Year’s Eve.
“Never Lose Your Splash” went live on New Year’s Eve in Times Square during NYE Live: a full-tower digital takeover, a 60-second film, and a brand library shot around real people actually in the water.
